Turbo chargers

In each diesel propulsion or power plant, turbochargers are of vital importance.

Repairing or reconditioning of the precision high speed parts of a turbocharger requires factory trained engineers and state of the art equipment.

Balancing of the rotor is part of our specialised procedure at complete overhaul stage. This balancing is carried out on our Schenk balancing machine, equipped with the latest measuring unit with an angle indexing indicator for identifying static- and dynamic imbalance.

A printed report is automatically produced by the computer and is available for the customer.

Our balancing machine can handle rotors up to a weight of 1,000 kg, a rotor diameter of 1,600 mm and a maximum speed of up to 5,000 rpm. This covers a wide range of turbochargers for all types of 2 and 4 stroke engines.

Our well trained technicians can carry out the overhaul on board, at the power plant, or in our workshop, depending on the type and size of the turbocharger involved.
